Meet Gregory Laney

Some men are shaped by their service. Gregory Laney was forged by it — and now he pours every ounce of that strength into helping other men (and women), find their footing.

Gregory Laney spent 24 years serving his country as a Chief Petty Officer then a Limited Duty Officer in the United States Navy, earning the rank of Lieutenant Commander after commissioning in 2014. His military career was built on discipline, leadership under pressure, and an unwavering commitment to those in his charge — qualities that didn't retire when the uniform came off.

Armed with an MBA from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Series 7 certification, Gregory brings rare depth to every conversation. He approaches financial guidance not as an advisor behind a desk, but as a trusted friend — someone who tells you the truth, breaks it down plainly, and walks with you through the decisions that matter most.
Gregory has a God-given calling to walk alongside men navigating life's hardest transitions — career shifts, identity questions, purpose gaps, weight loss goals, and everything in between. As a life coach, he meets men exactly where they are, helping them move from stuck to unstoppable. His style is direct, grounded, and deeply personal — shaped by the same values that carried him through two decades of service.

Gregory is the founder and builder of Roots Wellness Center, an integrative healthcare practice in south Mississippi dedicated to whole-person health. He serves as Director for the Swimming to Survive Foundation (501c3), championing water safety and youth empowerment in his community. Most importantly, he is husband to Allison and father to four — the roles he considers his greatest assignment.
